These terms apply to quotes and supplies by OR Steels (“OR Steels”, “we”) to business customers. If a signed supply agreement exists between us, that agreement takes precedence over these terms.
1. Quotes
- Information on this website — grades, sizes, availability and processing options — is a general description of what we stock and do. It is not an offer to sell at any particular price.
- A quote becomes binding only when we confirm it in writing (email, WhatsApp or a signed quotation) and you accept it within its validity period.
- Each quote states what it covers: product, grade, sizes, quantity, price basis (per tonne, per piece or per kg), whether the price is ex-yard or delivered, applicable taxes, validity period, lead time and any minimum order quantity.
2. Prices and payment
- Steel prices move with the market. Prices are therefore quoted on request and are valid only for the period stated on the quote; a request received after that period is re-quoted at the current rate.
- Taxes and duties are shown on the quote and invoice as required by law.
- Payment terms are stated on each quote. Material remains our property until it is paid for in full.
3. Weights, quantities and certificates
- Every lot is supplied with its mill test certificate and heat number. Chemical and mechanical properties are as stated on that certificate.
- Invoiced weights and quantities are as stated on the delivery documents issued with each consignment. Nominal weights published on this website (for example the rebar weight chart) are calculated from standard unit weights and are for estimating only.
- Dimensional and weight tolerances are those of the relevant standard (for example ASTM A615, ASTM A36, ASTM A53) unless the quote states otherwise.
4. Cutting, bending and other processing
- Processing (cut to length, bending to a bar bending schedule, drilling, priming and similar) is carried out to the drawings, schedules or instructions you supply. Please check them before confirming; material processed to your instructions cannot normally be returned.
- Surface treatment such as galvanizing or shot blasting is arranged through partner facilities and their lead times are included in your quote.
5. Delivery
- Deliveries within Karachi are made on our own fleet; deliveries elsewhere in Pakistan are arranged through carriers we have vetted. Freight is quoted separately unless the quote says the price is delivered.
- Delivery dates and transit times are estimates made in good faith. We will keep you informed of progress, but we are not liable for delays caused by events outside our control such as weather, road closures or carrier breakdowns.
- Please inspect material on arrival and note any shortfall or visible damage on the delivery documents at the time of delivery.
6. Claims and returns
- If material does not match the grade, size or quantity on the confirmed quote and delivery documents, tell us promptly and keep the material and its tags available for inspection. We will replace, credit or refund the affected material as agreed.
- Our responsibility for any order is limited to the price of the material concerned. We are not responsible for indirect losses such as site delays or lost profit.
7. Use of this website
- Content on this website is provided for information. We try to keep it accurate but it may contain errors or be out of date; always rely on your written quote and the mill test certificate.
- You agree not to misuse the site — for example by sending automated or false inquiries. See our privacy policy for how we handle the details you send us.
8. Governing law
- These terms and any supply made under them are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Any dispute is first to be raised with us in writing so we can try to resolve it directly.
